Work

  • 2024.06 - 2024.08
2024 Global Data Operations Summer Intern
    Merck Sharp & Dohme
Developed a streamlined, user-friendly dashboard to centralize clinical data automation tools, significantly improving accessibility and usability while reducing workflow time by 30% for over 500 users globally. Designed an interface to make running these scripts/tools as simple as a button click, garnering strong support from users possessing little to no programming experience and effectively eliminating any learning gaps. Incorporated Dash framework and collaborated with IT department to get AWS server access for deployment.
  • 2023.01 - 2025.08
Part Time — Student — Computer Science Grader & Learning Assistant (LA)
    The Pennsylvania State University
Assisted my former computer science instructor in mentoring a class of 300+ students in a data structures and algorithms class. Coached students by facilitating 2 recitations (100+ students) and holding 6 hours of tutoring on weekly basis. Administered and proctoring exams to create a fair, secure testing environment for all students. Graded students’ homework assignments, labs, and exams while providing helpful feedback on areas to improve.

Student Engagement Network (SEN) Grant Awardee
    The Pennsylvania State University
The SEN grant program is a competitive program aimed at providing funding for students who wish to learn outside the classroom, either by studying abroad, spearheading their own initiative, etc. With this program, I received funding for $2,000 to help with popularizing Nittany Retails around our campus. (Please be aware that the app is currently down from the app stores because of improvements that I'm making right now after talking with some students who downloaded the app before.)

Java: A Comprehensive Guide (Part II)
    Kindle Direct Publishing
Learning the ins and outs of a new language is no easy task especially when it's an object-oriented computer programming language like Java: hundreds of unfamiliar concepts and rules and words, an entirely different structure than that of our everyday spoken language, not to mention the high potential for embarrassment are enough to intimidate many of us. But don't worry — that's why I wrote this guide for people like you. Consisting of a detailed, foundational Java module and several practice problems on each topic, Java: A Comprehensive Guide is ideal for any student (or curious learner) interested in learning more about Java, studying before a final exam, or even preparing for a coding interview at a software company. A rigorous technical treatment, this book includes topics such as primary data structures, conditional statements, loops, arrays, graphics, interfaces, trees, sets, maps, and much more!

Projects

  • 2023.09 - 2023.12
    mdadm Library for Linear Devices
In Linux, mdadm (Multiple Disk and Device Management) is a utility used to manage software RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) devices, which combines multiple physical disks into a single logical device to increase performance and reliability. Over the course of a few months, I worked on developing a linear device—a Non-RAID configuration that concatenates the disks like a normal RAID configuration but without the performance increase and redundancy.
